1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how OpsOh LLC (“OpsOh,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in Wordgrove: Word Search Puzzles (“Wordgrove” or the “App”). It applies only to Wordgrove and does not replace the separate privacy policy used for other OpsOh apps.
2. How Wordgrove works
Wordgrove does not require an OpsOh account. The puzzles are included with the App, and OpsOh does not operate a user-profile or gameplay server for Wordgrove. The App uses local device storage, Apple services, and Google advertising services as described below.
3. Gameplay data and iCloud sync
Wordgrove stores gameplay information on your device so that it can remember your progress. This may include completed puzzles, found or hinted words, coin activity, purchase-related entitlement references, review-prompt status, and ad-frequency information.
If iCloud is available on your device, Wordgrove uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage to sync supported gameplay progress across devices signed in to your Apple Account. OpsOh does not operate this storage and does not receive a dashboard or account through which we can view your individual gameplay progress. Apple handles iCloud data under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
You can remove locally stored App data by deleting the App. Information already synced through iCloud may remain subject to your iCloud settings and Apple’s retention practices.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob
The free version of Wordgrove uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to provide interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads. A rewarded ad is shown only when you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game benefit, such as a hint.
When Wordgrove requests or displays an ad, Google and its advertising partners may automatically receive information such as:
- the App’s name and version;
- device and operating-system information;
- IP address and general location inferred from it;
- advertising or other device/app identifiers that are available under your device settings and applicable law;
- ad requests, impressions, interactions, reward completion, and related timestamps; and
- diagnostic, fraud-prevention, and performance information.
Google may use this information to deliver ads, measure advertising, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain and improve its services, and—where permitted by your choices and applicable law—personalize ads. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Wordgrove does not include a separate analytics service. Advertising reports and measurement supplied through AdMob are part of the advertising service described above.
5. Consent and advertising choices
Wordgrove uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent or present privacy choices where required. Depending on your region, settings, eligibility, and choices, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or based on contextual information.
Where available, you may review or change applicable choices through Privacy Choices in Wordgrove’s Settings. You may also manage Apple privacy settings on your device and review Google’s ad settings. Choosing non-personalized ads does not remove ads; information may still be processed for ad delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
An optional in-app purchase can remove the display of third-party ads. Purchase availability and restoration are handled through Apple.
6. In-app purchases
Wordgrove offers optional in-app purchases, including ad removal, coin packs, and premium puzzle content. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. OpsOh does not receive your full payment-card information. Apple may provide the App with product, transaction, entitlement, and verification information needed to deliver or restore what you purchased. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by its own privacy policy and App Store terms.
7. Support and information you choose to send
If you contact OpsOh for support, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and attachments. Wordgrove can prepare a support-email draft containing the App version, device model, and iOS version; the email is not sent unless you choose to send it.
We use support communications to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain appropriate business records. Please do not send sensitive personal information or private files unless they are necessary for your request.
8. External links and services
Wordgrove may contain links that open a third-party website or service outside the App. Those services control their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information to them.
9. Children’s privacy
Wordgrove is a general-audience word-search game and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly operate accounts or directly collect personal information from children through an OpsOh server. Advertising and platform services are provided by Google and Apple under their respective policies, eligibility rules, consent mechanisms, and applicable law.
If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to OpsOh through a support request, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
10. Retention and security
Local gameplay information remains on your device until it is removed by the App, reset, or deleted with the App. Synced gameplay information, purchase records, and advertising information are retained by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, legal, and business-record purposes.
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the information we control. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain information about certain processing. OpsOh does not sell personal information for money. Certain advertising activity may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under some regional laws even when no money is exchanged for personal information.
Use the privacy controls described above for advertising choices. Requests concerning information controlled by Google or Apple should be directed to the applicable provider. For information held directly by OpsOh, such as a support email, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify and clarify your request.
12. International processing
Google, Apple, and their service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their policies explain the safeguards and legal bases they use for international processing.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Wordgrove, its services, or legal requirements change. We will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or through another appropriate channel.
